I have real trepidation for a Jurassic World 2...

I think part of the reason Jurassic World was successful was Treverrow and the writers. They knew what this movie was and were tongue in cheek about it

The lines about how regular dinosaurs don't cut it today (Jurassic Park 1), the jokes about advertising brands in the dinosaur name (the mercedes brand placement), the questions about why the dinosaur needs to be created to be bigger and scarier, they are all tongue in cheek comments about the movie/creation of the movie/industry today. I feel like the team let the audience in on the joke and nodded to say "yeah we know this was only made as a cash grab sequel, that the plot is absurd, but here it is" which honestly kind of helped me switch off and take it for what it was. I mean frankly there is no way you can rehash a dinosaur park being opened for a 2nd time and the same thing happening without anyone with a brain asking "why would they try this all over again?". If the new team on JW2 don't take the same approach and try and take it seriously, I got a bad feeling about how it could turn out
