Snapchat is known for an app that enables users to send photo messages that can vanish within seconds of being viewed. On Wednesday, company officials didn't even appear at a Capitol Hill hearing on data security they'd been invited to - and a top senator wasn't happy.
This is why rejecting the $3 billion offer from facebook was a stupid mistake. Right now, a couple of competitors are popping up. At some point in time, users will find a different favorite app. They should have learn from Groupon.
Snapchat is doomed!
They did not show up because Snapchat is hiding something. There is a big security hole in Snapchat that enabled hackers to steal those phone numbers. And this is not good for Snapchat.
This hacking issue is not a good publicity for Snapchat. If this news keeps getting bigger, a lot of users will sour on Snapchat.
You're right, Snapchat should have just accepted the $3 billion offer from Facebook.
